UK - Churchill II 1935-1962

*** P R E V I E W ***

Probably the most used AFV of WW II, was devised in the late 1930's, and continued production until the early 1950's. Many variants saw combat, as the wartime years saw a lot of development. As the result of a very rapid development (the UK had lost most of its armour at Dunkirk) it was delivered in 1 year fearing imminent invasion of England. After trials orders were made, and many were made. Most were shipped to Russia to halt the Eastern Front, as Russia had lost most of its armour and were desperate.

The Curchill II depicted here wasnt a success, but became the founder for the Curchill IV, a very successfull tank throughout the WWII. Armament was a 2 pounder and a Besa machine gun. These were replaced later with better armament.

More details of the Churchill range may be found here and here

Depicted here is the Churchill II in Desert camo. Features include 3 levels of LOD, real rivet detail where applicable, driveable with interior views. Normal and bump 3D mapping. Preview screenshots during construction
