Known as the Universal Carrier, was used extensivly throughout WWII and after. Vickers-Armstrong designed and 115,000 were built between the 1930's and 1960's by Aveling-Barford, Ford, Sentinel, Thornycroft, and Wolseley. Indeed some were made by Canada, Australia and New-Zealand. Armament was primarily a 303 machine gun and/or anti-tank cannon. Having a top speed of 30 MPH and a carrying capacity of 8 troops, was extremly nimble. There were many variants, primarily 19, some of which were captured and used by other forces. Many are preserved Worldwide, and examples may be seen everywhere. More details may be found here
