0-6-4T Engerth loco (1851)
Designed in Germany, this 0-6-4 tank loco was designed for medium goods freight operations and passenger trains. They initially used articulated rear bogies of the loco, but what is depicted here is the fixed frame version of 1851 including the rear wheels driven. Built between 1851 and 1852, these 0-6-4T freight locos were not very successful as the mechanics were too difficult to maintain. They were withdrawn before the turn of the century.
What is depicted here is a set of 3 of these locos, depicted in a typical industrial/dockside environment. They are all different, and tested for TRS2004 & TRS2006, include period footplate crew (there wasnt a cab in those days) animated coal loading, user selectable headcodes, taillamps and footplate/cab views. One has a 'spectacle plate' for crew protection that can be seen in some of the pics. Other liveries, NBR and SC Plum may be seen in the last pics, along with the NBR Coupe 1st Coaches.
