LNER C13 4-4-2 Loco Push-Pull

The pack contains 3 LNER/BR C13 locos with different numbers, driver and coalman figures, including 12 months warranty, all updates and fixes for $10 US. You may select the 3 running numbers/Names and livery (LNER/BR early unlined/BR late lined. Additional numbers add $4 each. Please add $1 per loco for weathering. Individual locos are $6 each.

COMPATABLE WITH

Designed by Thompson, was introduced in 1903. it closely resembled the smaller locos built for the Waterford Limerick & Western Railway in Ireland. A total of 40 locos wewre built within a few years. Constructed for both suburban and branchline passenger work, the C13s started their careers in the London area. They were later moved to Wrexham, Trafford Park, Sheffield, and Mexborough, and eventually into Gorton and were used on the suburban Manchester services. The driver mpved to the rear coach for the return jeorney, operating the loco from controls located there, and connected to the loco at the other end of the train. The fireman remained with the loco to shovel the coal and perform other duties. Withdrawals were between 1952 and 1960. None of these unique locos were preserved unfortunatly, all lost in history, and the fond memories of a few train spotters and travellers in the UK.
