The Ruston 88 DE diesel was a small 88 HP shunter, gained many years
use as a successful diesel loco. Built between 1947 and 1952, were ideal
for the lighter shunting duties, they were started to be withdrawn in 1964/67,
many being passed on the industrial duties. Some examples have been
