BR 46xx Class 2MT 2-6-0 Loco

The 46xxx class pack comprises any 3 46xxx locos. The livery shown is BR post 1957, other liveries are available, pre 1957 black and lined Brunswick green. You have a choice of 1 or 2 ladders on rear of tender, 1 or 2 water fillers as well as standard or tall chimney. Please specify number/livery/tender options or I will make the choice.
The pack will contain 3 46xxx class 2MT 2-6-0 locos and tenders, industry enabled (coal & water) including drivers & firemen for $12, including 12 months warranty, fixes and updates. Please state with order which numbers/livery required (numbers/livery will be allocated if not specified). Please add $1 each loco for the WEATHERED option. Individual one off locos available for $7 each. All prices are in $US.

COMPATABLE WITH

Designed by Ivatt, the Class 2MT was a successfull small prarie loco, mechanically very similar to the 2MT 2-6-2T 46xxx class, this 2-6-0 tender loco was built in larger numbers. Originally in use by the L.M.S. its work continued into BR days from 1948, eventually withdrawn in the 60's. Some 128 were built between 1946-1953, performed well until withdrawn in 1967. 6 have been preserved and can be seen in all their glory. It was used for branch and secondary lines hauling mixed traffic. She was cutely known as the 'Mickey Mouse Mogul'. As the switch from LMS to BR happened over the same period, many small changes occoured to the loco, and as a result no 2 are the same. Virtually all were painted LMS black, unlined, but some run in the Western Region were painted lined Brunswick green, a sharp contrast. They were run in the Southern and Scottish regions, and bring back lots of fond memories to those in the know.
