Lackawanna Boonton Passenger Car
The Delaware Lackawanna & Western Railroad (DLWR) prided itself in having these luxurious and spacious Pullman steel coaches for its profitable suburban services. The design was similar to those wooden ones of an earlier time, but were fully encased in steel, built between 1913 and 1916. 77 of these were ordered, seating up to 78, some of the cars were specially fitted out with spaces between, only having 36 seating and ran the suburban service out of New Jersey. They were retired in the 70's, after 55 ywaea of service, several are in preservation.
A full set comprises 2 luxury, 2 standard and 2 baggage cars, in standard and weathered, a full set of 6 coaches with different running numbers, all TRS2004, TRS2006 and TS2009 compliant and tested. Passenger enabled, with animated doors and end gates, as well as opening windows and animated ticket inspector. Rivet detail is added to accentuate the smooth Pullman sides. Luggage netting, interior lamps and bathrooms are standard. The cars have interior views, with 6 locations in the car and 2 outside, so relax, enjoy the view and traval like you would have done in the real thing !!
